The program has been divided into three tracks. Schools can participate in any track, at any time. You DON’T have to be one of the schools in the program to begin greening your school. Green Resources for Track One are on this site for use by any Oklahoma educator.
TRACK ONE: PLT School Investigations:
This track includes free environmental education materials, assistance with service learning projects, and student-led school investigations in: Energy, Water, Waste & Recycling, Environmental Quality and School Site.
TRACK TWO: Energy Star for Schools:
Track Two is aimed primarily at energy and carbon dioxide reduction in the school, saving money in the process. Rewards will be provided upon reaching certain levels of reduction.
TRACK THREE: LEED for Schools:
This track is for schools interested in achieving LEED certification for new schools or schools undergoing major renovation.
