2020 Oklahoma Green School Summit

Date/Time: Thursday, April 9, 2020, 9am to 2pm  Due to COVID-19 we will be posting this event until the fall of 2020. Stay tuned for the new date!

Location: “The Nest” Event Center at Terra Verde Discovery School – Nest, 800 36th Ave SE. Norman, Oklahoma 73026

Cost:$20/adults; $5 students and children. Scholarships are available if you need assistance with registration, buses or substitutes. Email Sara for more information. 

This event will be an exciting, adventurous day of learning about caring for our planet and ourselves.  Participants will be encouraged to make friends and share thoughts and ideas about making your school, your community and our world a greener and healthier place. There will be student presentations, hands-on activities, tours of Terra Verde’s Green initiatives and resources for schools looking to get started.

A healthy, delicious lunch will be provided.

Target audience: students, teachers and school administrators interested in sustainability and environmental issues.

2020 Southeastern Oklahoma Green School Summit

Location: Hallie McKinney Building, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Durant, OK

Cost:$3/adults; no charge for students and children

This event will be an exciting, adventurous day of learning about caring for our planet and ourselves.  Participants will be encouraged to make friends and share thoughts and ideas about making the world a better place for all.  The word of the day will be regenerate.  This will be a zero-waste event.

A healthy, delicious lunch will be provided.

Target audience: students and teachers, school administrators, youth organizations, city government, and all other community members interested in sustainability and environmental issues.
